New Coat of Paint

This pink and white nightstand needed a new coat of paint.

Supplies Used:
  • 1 inch paint brush
  • Valspar paint in Elegant Silk equally mixed with Valspar paint in Sparkling Lake
  • On hardware Valspar Interior paint in whit
  • Electric Sander with grade 80 paper
  • Drop cloth or old newspapers
  • Wet Rag
After the hardware is taken off of the drawers, sand off the old paint until you can see the wood. Then clean off all the saw dust I like to take an old rag that is wet to get off all the dust particles.
The paint adhere to the wood so I didn't need a primer on this piece of furniture. When using a primer I like to use Valspar Primers then my paint.
After the paint was fully dry I roughed the corners with grade 80 sandpaper by hand where normal wear would show to give it that vintage shabby look.I think the finish piece with the white hardware turned out great! What do you guys think?

Stay tuned for my next piece I'm redoing as I type this one!
